My counsiiiiiiiiiiins
MY, my, my but it’s been a while, hasn’t it? Sarah and I are back in the UK after an awesome trip to SA for my brother Murray’s wedding on the 18th Aug. It was a really special day, for all of us, and everything went off without a hitch. Sarah and I would like to wish Murray and JC all the happiness in the world, and we are looking forward to having them on the mud island next year. More on the SA trip in a separate post…………
Otherwise, this job thing keeps one quite busy….. I think one day when I rule the world, I am going to change the number of hours in the day to 25, just so I can get one hour extra sleep, or on the tennis court, or for writing posts on this blog. Apologies for the formatting issues some of you may have noticed (depending on which browser you use), I’ll fix it at some stage. But, at the moment I would rather concentrate on blogging!
Bank holiday weekend just passed, and Sar and I did what every red blooded pommie does and headed straight for the beach! Well, the stones at least. We had never been to gay Brighton before so we thought we’d take a day trip down there. The city has a reputation once the sun drops over the horizon so we got down there early and spent the day wandering around, checking the city out, shopping, having a boozy lunch, getting ripped off like tourists and just chilling. Its an awesome city actually, and well worth a trip. Its only 45 minutes from Clapham Junction on the fast train so easily accessible, even for a Saturday morning shopping jaunt. In fact it takes us about that amount of time to get to Covent Garden from our place anyway.
Rog and Leanne sorted us with tickets for Sunday night to see the evergreen Barry ‘My Cousiiiiiiins’ Hilton at Zulu’s in Fulham. I was slightly concerned that we may see a tired and washed up Bary Hilton, but never fear, he was absolutely hilarious as usual. I guess if you’ve got a natural talent for comedy then it’s never really going to leave you. He has an incredible knack for accents and his facial expressions add to a the jokes. He is definitely a stage performer as opposed to a radio performer.
I have to play in a corporate cricket event this afternoon, so that’s a tough way to end the week, and then we’re in Richmond this evening for a friends’ engagement party. Watch out next week for photo’s from our forthcoming Saturday night performance. You’re gonna love it. Innit.

I’m in SA this week for Murray’s wedding on Saturday 18th August, as well as to sort out everything for Sar and my wedding in March next year. The week has flown by, but there is still time for one more round tomorrow at Country Club, and then to the Institute of Billy’s to meet up with the Durban folk, and too sample this new thing called ‘beer’.
